This month Ellie Bell from our Property Management Department in Market Drayton began her new role as Lettings Valuer in our Wellington Office. As a fully qualified member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA), Ellie is well placed to assist landlords and tenants in every aspect of the letting process. Ellie joins a strong lettings team in Wellington working alongside Sophie Wilson who has been with us since 2009 and Richard Heath Lettings Manager who has been with us pretty much since Noah made the Ark, although he claims to only be 41!
As the office is based in the centre of Wellington right opposite the beautiful All Saints Church, and with close free parking the office is a real local hub for purchasers, vendors, tenants and landlords, and the W.I. ladies with cakes on a Thursday (not that we give them out to the public…sorry)! Being central to the Telford Area and headed up by a team of keen Professionals the office has spread our net far and wide and we cover a substantial local area. Stretching far and wide into Shifnal, Broseley, High Ercall, Cressage, Great Bolas etc and having met with continued success we are now plunging forth like a pack of Olympic swimmers to build on that, with the slight addition of fabulous heels, and handbags.Ellie’s move has also enabled Lizzie Yates of the Wellington office to move into a dual role of Sales and Lettings Valuer and Barbers can now offer Vendor/Landlords a single valuation appointment to help them with the often difficult decision ‘To Sell or To Let?’. For clear and concise information, Its beneficial to speak to an experienced property expert in both fields.
With the office benefitting from a friendly ‘sibling rivalry’ between Sales and Lettings, both teams have had a successful August. The Lettings Team have had a record breaking month and the Residential Sales Team are the Top NAEA Rightmove preferred Agent in the area*. As the teams sit side by side in the office at Wellington there is a nice level of competition to get both Sold and Let boards up, but also to help each other accommodate our clients’ needs. This month we’ve managed to sell a house for a vendor, who has now become a tenant. In the past we’ve also sold Landlords’ properties, and let newly purchased ‘Barbers’ properties for our investors. As a dual office not only can we offer these services, but we believe it also says a lot about our customer care that our clients are happy to come back time and time again and speaks volumes about the synergy between the teams. It may sound sentimental but we are one big family.
Facebook has become an inspiring social media forum for Barbers recently. Don’t forget to like our Facebook pages by searching for Barbers Estate Agents and Barbers Letting Agents. You can usually spot the Wellington team on our Facebook pages by checking out the assorted collection of pictures and interaction! This week we are supporting National Dog Day! We’re rather proud of our pooches at Wellington although Ellie is now the odd one out with the rather stubborn Little Bear the cat to add to the ranks. We feel that Social Media for both purchasers, vendors, tenants and landlords really is the way forward. An average ‘Facebooker’ will have approximately 187 Friends. Imagine the vast amount of free advertising created by liking and sharing your property from the Barbers Website!
