Mike Arthan, Managing Director of Barbers Estate Agents, was delighted to present Severn Hospice with a fundraising cheque for £6870.86 at the reopening of the Hospice’s newly refurbished Alexandra Ward at Telford hospice on 4th July.
Barbers have recently participated in a number of events to help raise money for the Hospice including; the Market Drayton 10k, the Severn Hospice Colour Run in Telford, a charity lunch and a charity auction with photographer Aaron Evans. There will also be a fundraising quiz at the Sandbrook Vaults pub in Market Drayton on Wednesday 3rd October (8:30pm start).
Mike met with Fundraising Manager, Lucy Ruff, at the Hospice and was thrilled to see the updated Alexandra Ward, “Severn Hospice cost £10m to run in 2017 and the vast majority of that money came from fundraising. We’re very proud to have been able to do our bit and I’d like to thank the staff from across our 5 Shropshire branches who have worked hard to raise nearly £7000 for the Hospice. I’d also like to thank Lucy and everyone who has helped organise the fantastic events in which we have participated this year.”
