National Awards Success for Barbers

The awards recognise achievement, commitment and contribution in the fields of professional accreditation and development. Barbers are licensed members of NAEA and ARLA, both of which fall under the scope of the National Federation of Property Professionals (NFoPP). These organisations regulate, guide and assist property professionals across a wide range of disciplines. Members are governed by the Code of Practice providing a framework of ethical and professional standards at a level far higher than the law demands.

Jacqui Edwards, based in Barbers’ Market Drayton Property Management Department, was nominated for the category ‘Inventory Candidate of the Year’, for her outstanding exam scores in the Technical Award in Residential Inventory Management and Practice. Jacqui received the runner-up award in this category for consistently high results across four modules.

Sean O’Brien, based in the Market Drayton Sales Office, was nominated for ‘Newcomer of the Year – Rising Star’. This new award recognises particular commitment to learning and qualifications, as well as the contribution made to the newcomer’s company. Sean received the runner-up award in this category for achieving Level 3 Technical Awards in both Residential Sales & Lettings in the last 12 months.

Mike Arthan, Barbers’ Managing Director, won ‘Employer Qualifications Ambassador of the Year’. This showpiece award recognises employer drive and commitment in supporting learning and qualifications amongst staff. Mike is the first ever recipient of this award, which crowned a fantastic evening of achievement and success for Barbers on a national stage. The awarding body made particular reference to the unusually high percentage of Barbers staff holding a professional qualification and Mike’s commitment to training and staff development.

Addressing the delegates at the awards ceremony, Mike acknowledged the support of all his management team and staff at Barbers who shared his commitment to personal and professional development and training to help set a consistently high standard of customer service.
