Barbers will attend the Relocation Agent Network National Conference and Exhibition on Friday 22 November. They join fellow agents from England, Scotland and Wales, all of which are members of Relocation Agent Network, a national estate agency network. The Conference and Exhibition will end with a black tie evening Awards Dinner hosted by the well-known national television broadcaster, Huw Edwards.
Taking place at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel, the Conference welcomes some of the UK’s top keynote speakers including; Cally Beaton, media executive, entrepreneur and corporate speaker, who will discuss how to inspire and lead through change; Oliver Gleave, founder of property software providers, Jupix and Loop, will help delegates understand how to maximise the use of technology in modern day estate agency; and economist, Roger Martin-Fagg will provide an economic forecast, cutting through the jargon to reveal what the numbers really mean.
This year’s event includes roundtable breakout sessions, each one hosted by an expert in their field. From marketing and social media, to compliance and employee engagement, this format gives delegates the opportunity to choose the topics that they want to learn more about. Gail Furnival, Sales Manager in Barbers’ Market Drayton Office and the 2018 Network ‘Employee of the Year’ will be hosting a breakout session guiding members on “How to set up your team to win with RAN.”
The official Conference mobile app allows delegates to network with one another in the lead up to the event. On the day, the app will allow delegates to send questions to speakers on stage and take part in live polling during Conference sessions. Designed to enhance the ‘delegate experience’ these interactive polling sessions will produce results shown instantly on stage, providing real insight into how attending Relocation Agent Network members view key industry topics.
The event culminates in an evening black tie Awards Dinner hosted by the well-known national television broadcaster, Huw Edwards, who will present the night’s Relocation Agent Network awards, including the coveted Agent of the Year.
How does Network membership help the customer?
The Network personally selects each of its members, basing criteria on quality of service, local knowledge and professionalism. Through its affiliation with Cartus, the market leader in global relocation services, Relocation Agent Network members help Cartus move relocating families in and out of areas across England, Scotland and Wales. This offers Barbers’ customers an additional channel of buyer when selling their property. Through the Network, members can also help their relocating customers by passing them to a fellow Relocation Agent Network member in the area they are moving to.
Barbers’ Managing Director, Mike Arthan, said: “Each year, the Relocation Agent Network National Conference and Exhibition gives us the opportunity to learn from industry experts about the very latest estate agency innovations. These new business ideas will help us grow as a company, but most importantly, benefit our customers. We are delighted to be attending and very much looking forward to the awards ceremony, as we have been shortlisted for a ‘Best Regional Agent’ Award for the fourth consecutive year.”
