1. With the Government announcing cuts to Stamp Duty until March 2025, now is a good time to move home if you want to save money. The cuts mean that you would pay 0% stamp duty on properties up to £250,000, and for first-time buyers you will pay no stamp duty on properties up to £425,000. House prices saw continued growth throughout 2022, but with interest rates rising and mortgages becoming more difficult to secure, house prices are possibly expected to start declining in 2023 therefore using a professional, qualified local agent will ensure you get the best advice on your asking price and also on the negotiation process.
