Kay Clark MNAEA
Sales Support
In her own words, Kay has the best job in the industry! As Sales Support, she take photographs and measurements for properties coming on to the market, then creates the property brochures to be sent out.
Kay started working for "Barber & Son" straight from school in 1988 on a Youth Training Scheme. From 2002 to 2011 Kay worked between Barbers' Oakengates, Telford and Wellington Offices - making her a real local expert.
After a number of years working in Barbers' Commercial Department, she moved back into Residential Sales in 2018.
Kay grew up in Admaston and has stayed close by ever since. A keen walker, Kay can regularly be found wandering the local nature reserves, along with The Ercall and The Wrekin. An avid Disney fan, Kay's dream house would be a perfect family home like the one owned by the Banks family in Mary Poppins - on a tree lined street or even better with a tree lined private driveway!
What is your favourite food & drink?
This is incredibly hard as I love food. I think overall I would choose Italian. Dessert would be cake or ice-cream. Liquid refreshment would be a cup of tea or Gin & Tonic.
Do you have any pets?
Yes, I have two Tonkinese cats – Poppins and Cinders. Both incredibly full of personality and think they’re more human than cat!
Where is your favourite holiday destination?
Tricky one this, so I will give a tricky answer! If Disney could create a park in Italy ...
What is your favourite film?
My answer changes like the wind depending on what mood I’m in and the time of year! My go to films would be Mary Poppins, Up, Independence Day, Die Hard, The Greatest Showman, Miracle on 34th Street and Elf.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I do try to make a conscious effort to exercise, ultimately to combat eating the cakes and pastries that I tend to bake! I enjoy being outside and go for walks around the local nature reserves and landmarks near to home and I enjoy pottering in my garden.
What is your role at Barbers?
I feel I have one of the best jobs within the industry – I visit the properties to take photographs / measure up etc. to create the property details and all the administration that this entails. There is a lot of variety within the job role and each day is different.
